Brookwood Open Evening - War Graves Week
War Graves Week an initiative aimed at encouraging people from the local community to come together and discover the World War heritage on their doorstep – learning about the stories of those commemorated by the CWGC and the skills, dedication and expertise of those CWGC staff and volunteers who work to keep their memory alive.
This year, we will be offering family friendly activities as well as the opportunity to learn about the history of the CWGC and those we commemorate at this site. Across the evening there will also be the opportunity to attend talks on our work, talk to our maintenance & horticulture teams, learn about our volunteering programme and have a go at engraving with our stonemasons. The team from the American Cemetery will also be putting on some activities and tours of their site.
