War Graves Week is an initiative aimed at encouraging people from the local community to come together and discover the World War heritage on their doorstep – learning about the stories of those commemorated by the CWGC and the skills, dedication and expertise of those CWGC staff and volunteers who work to keep their memory alive.

MEETING POINT in car park opposite Reginald Road South, NOT main entrance.

Derby (Nottingham Road) Cemetery contains 194 First World War burials and 146 from the Second World War. There is a war graves plot of 87 burials from both wars, the rest of the graves are scattered throughout the cemetery.

There is parking available on-site . Outdoor Walking Tour, just over 1 mile, parts of path uneven and on slopes. Allowances need to be made if any burials taking place during the tour.

There are no toilet facilities available after 4pm.

Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring a water bottle with you if needed. We will not be able to provide refreshments.
