  • Additional Info Second son of Alderman Oliver Cromwell Apted and Prudence Apted, of Doods Brow, Reigate, Surrey. Educated at Holmesdale School, Cranleigh School, and Gray's Inn; called to the Bar in 1913. Joined Inns of Court O.T.C. in 1914, and was commissioned to 9th Bn.; subsequently attached to the Training Reserve at Watford, and was also engaged in the Recruiting Campaign in Mid-Surrey.
