About the CWGF Guide Programme

The CWGF Guide Programme is designed to bring history to life for thousands of visitors each year. Guides are storytellers, ambassadors and custodians of memory, introducing the public to the Commonwealth War Graves Commission’s work and the people we commemorate.

As a Guide, you will:

• Engage daily with visitors from across the world
• Deliver interpretive talks and help people understand the human stories behind the headstones
• Support remembrance activities and CWGF initiatives
• Build deep knowledge of the sites, landscapes and communities of the Somme
