COMMONWEALTH WAR GRAVES FOUNDATION STAMP COMPETITION

The Commonwealth War Graves Foundation (CWGF) aims to engage and educate people - especially the young - with the work of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC), and the stories of the men and women who died whilst fighting oppression, extremism and intolerance in the two World Wars.

We offer a programme of educational and engagement activities, such as the Noor Inayat-Khan: Woman of Conspicuous Courage interactive exhibition at the Runnymede Memorial, and our Interns Programme, operating at some of our sites in France and Belgium.

Our projects aim to tell the stories of the 1.7 million fallen Commonwealth servicemen and women, and of how the CWGC now, as then, continues to honour their sacrifice.

The CWGF are offering you the chance to win the Royal Mail’s ‘End of the Second World War’ stunning set of collectibles and stamps, which feature some of the most iconic @CWGC sites around the world.

To get involved, simply post the best photo you’ve taken of one of our sites, memorials, cemeteries or headstones, and share it with the hashtag #FoundationPhotoComp

First place will win a first day cover and a collectable keepsake presentation pack full of stamps, photographs, stories and recollections of events that will soon pass from living memory to history. The first-place winner will also have the opportunity for their photograph to be featured in the CWGF’s 2021 calendar.

Five runners’ up will win a set of first day covers, each featuring evocative photographs and an illustrated information card.

We are looking forward to seeing your entries - make sure that you tag us @CWGC.
