HRH Prince of Wales pays tribute to war dead in India
HRH The Prince of Wales attended a service of remembrance at CWGC’s Delhi War Cemetery today in India.
HRH laid a wreath at the Cross of Sacrifice before touring the site and meeting the CWGC team responsible for its care.
The Prince of Wales is on an official two day visit to India carrying out engagements with a focus on sustainable markets, climate change and social finance.
CWGC Delhi War Cemetery was built in 1951 and contains more than 1,000 burials and commemorations from the Second World and 100 from the First World War.
The cemetery was designed by H J Brown, who worked on several cemeteries and memorials for the CWGC in India.
