Plymouth Efford Cemetery - War Graves Week Tour

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) will be bringing War Graves Week to Plymouth and offering free tours at Plymouth Efford Cemetery (and other local sites) between May 20th and May 25th 2023.

War Graves Week is an initiative aimed at encouraging people from the local community to come together and discover the World War heritage on their doorstep – learning about the stories of those commemorated by the CWGC in (insert town) and the skills, dedication and expertise of those CWGC staff and volunteers who work to keep their memory alive.

• Stone mason demonstrations – and have a go yourself
• Eyes on Hands On demonstration – how our volunteers play a vital role in helping us to maintain UK war graves.

Please wear suitable sensible shoes for a walking tour. The meeting point is in the car park below the Chapel/ by the Cross of Sacrifice.
