Rededication ceremony for Lieutenant Charles Stewart Cautherley, Hertfordshire Regiment

A rededication ceremony for Lieutenant Charles Stewart Cautherley, Hertfordshire Regiment, will be held at 10.30am (local time) on 21 March 2024 at CWGC’s Poelcapelle British Cemetery, Belgium.

Lieutenant Cautherley died on 26 April 1918 and was previously commemorated on the CWGC Tyne Cot Memorial.

CWGC will mark his recently identified grave with a Commission headstone and will care for his final resting place in perpetuity.

The ceremony has been organised by the British Ministry of Defence’s Joint Casualty and Compassionate Centre and will be attended by Defence Staff, Regimental representatives, CWGC staff and local dignitaries.
