Rededication ceremony for Privates Albert Wilfred Saunders Culling, 723022, and Charles William Green, 722574, London Regiment

A rededication ceremony for Private Albert Wilfred Saunders Culling, 723022, and Private Charles William Green, 722574, both of the London Regiment, will be held at 10.30am (local time) on 20 March 2024 at CWGC’s Buttes New British Cemetery, Polygon Wood, Belgium.

Privates Culling and Green both died on 26 August 1917 and were previously commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.

CWGC will mark their recently identified graves with Commission headstones, bearing their names and a personal inscription chosen by their families. We will care for their final resting places in perpetuity.

The ceremony has been organised by the British Ministry of Defence’s Joint Casualty and Compassionate Centre and will be attended by the casualties’ families, Defence Staff, Regimental representatives, CWGC staff and local dignitaries.
