Rededication ceremony for Second Lieutenant Reginald Russell Boyd, 9th Battalion, Cameronians (Scottish Rifles)

A rededication ceremony for Second Lieutenant Reginald Russell Boyd, 9th Battalion, Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) will be held at 9.30am (local time) on 5 September 2023 at CWGC’s Etaples Military Cemetery, France.

Second Lieutenant Boyd died on 4 May 1917 and was previously commemorated on the CWGC Arras Memorial.

CWGC will soon mark his recently identified grave with a Commission headstone and will care for it in perpetuity. The service has been organised by the British Ministry of Defence’s Joint Casualty and Compassionate Centre and will be attended by Defence Staff, Regimental representatives, CWGC staff and local dignitaries.
