Rededication service for Second Lieutenant Wilfred John Massey Lynch, 3rd Dragoon Guards

A rededication service for Second Lieutenant Wilfrid John Massey Lynch of 3rd Dragoon Guards at CWGC Crucifix Corner Cemetery, Villers-Bretonneux, France will take place on the 23 March 2023 at 2:30pm (local time).

Second Lieutenant Massey Lynch died on 4th April 1918 whilst serving with 6th Reserve Cavalry Regiment, attached to 3rd Dragoon Guards (Prince of Wales' Own). He was previously commemorated on the CWGC Pozieres Memorial.

CWGC has marked his recently identified grave with a Commission headstone, bearing his name and personal inscription chosen by his family, and will care for it in perpetuity. The service has been organised by the British Ministry of Defence’s Joint Casualty and Compassionate Centre and will be attended by Defence Staff, Regimental representatives, CWGC staff and local dignitaries. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
