Strathaven Cemetery - War Graves Week Tours

War Graves Week is an initiative aimed at encouraging people from the local community to come together and discover the World War heritage on their doorstep – learning about the stories of those commemorated by the CWGC and the skills, dedication and expertise of those CWGC staff and volunteers who work to keep their memory alive.

MEETING POINT: is at the top entrance to the cemetery, adjacent to the War Memorial. The road up to the cemetery runs at an angle off North Street and and there is sufficient space for parking immediately outside the cemetery gates. Although there are steps up to the War Memorial and parts of the cemetery are on hilly or uneven ground, the walking route is relatively short.

Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear sensible walking shoes. There are no refreshments available so please bring water.
