Location information

Enugu, the capital of the Eastern Region, is 193 kilometres north of Port Harcourt on the main railway line to Kaduna and Kano. Enugu Township Cemetery is near the Military Cemetery, which is situated on the left of the main road to Onitsha, just below Milliken Hill, and is 2 kilometres from the railway station. The 9 soldiers of the 1939-1945 War buried here are in the European Section of the cemetery, which also contains 1 burial of the 1914-1918 War. All the war graves are marked by headstones, surrounded by kerbs and covered with stone chippings.
