Location information
Enugu, the capital of the Eastern Region, is 193 kilometres north of Port Harcourt on the main railway line to Kaduna and Kano. The Military Cemetery is situated on the left of the main road to Onitsha, just below Milliken Hill, and is 2 kilometres from the railway station.

History information
The cemetery contains 90 Commonwealth burials of the 1939-1945 War, 1 of whom is unidentified. There are also 24 post-war graves. The cemetery is circular and is divided by radial paths into separate plots. A Cross of Sacrifice has been erected near the centre. The three United Kingdom soldiers are buried in the European plot on the southern perimeter of the cemetery. The war graves of the African soldiers are in denominational plots.
