Location information

This churchyard lies 4 miles west of the Scalasaig Pier, on the island of Colonsay. It contains war graves of both World Wars. The majority of the burials form a group in the south-eastern corner of the churchyard.

History information

This churchyard contains 6 Commonwealth burials of the 1914-18 war, including that of 1 unidentified seaman from H.M.S. "Viknor"; five are on the right hand side of the Churchyard, and one (Brown) near the left boundary. There are a further 16 Commonwealth burials of the 1939-45 war, including 6 unidentified seamen of the Merchant Navy and 2 unidentified sailors of the Royal Navy. There are 2 Foreign National war burials, 1 Danish Merchant Navy seaman and 1 Italian internee.
