Location information

The churchyard and extension are only a mile from the shores of Loch Lomond at Balmaha, and are on the Drymen-Balmaha road. The extension, which adjoins the churchyard on the eastern side, and is reached through the churchyard, was opened during the war, for burials from the military hospital which was set up in Buchanan Castle, the seat of the Duke of Montrose. Not all the service burials were from this hospital, however, nor were all men who died in the hospital interred in this burial ground.
