Location information

Leeuwarderadeel is the administrative title of a commune which controls a number of villages surrounding the town and commune of Leeuwarden. Jelsum, which is one of the villages, lies 5 kilometres north of the town on the road to Stiens and Holwerd. The church and surrounding churchyard are in the centre of the village. The graves are in the south-western corner of the churchyard.
