Location information

Westernieland is a village in the commune of Eenrum, and lies 23 kilometres north of the town of Groningen. It is about 5 kilometres north-north-east of Eenrum village. The cemetery is on the north-western outskirts of the village, on the road leading to the Homanpolder. The British graves are in a prominent position, in a pelouse d'honneur created by the local people, in the centre of the cemetery. Ten airmen are buried here, of whom 8 came from the United Kingdom and 2 from Canada. One of the former is not identified.
