Chestres French National Cemetery is on the south side of the village, approximately 3.5 kilometres north-east of Vouzieres.
History information
Chestres French National Cemetery contains more than 1,100 French war graves and two ossuaries containing the remains of a further 1,475 unidentified French soldiers. The cemetery contains four Commonwealth burials of the First World War, one of which was brought in from Poix-Terron Communal Cemetery in 1934, and two from Tannay Communal Cemeteryin 1935.
