History information
During the First World War Minster was the Richborough base for inland water transport cross-channel barges and close by, at Manston, there was an aerdrome and training station. Minster (Thanet) Cemetery contains 70 First World War burials, most of which are in a war graves plot and small group. All but two of the 14 Second World War graves form another small group to the north of the First World War plot.
