Location information

Mount Vernon Cemetery lies to the south of the town of Thurso. There is an entrance on the main road (the A9) heading into town.

History information

There are 18 Commonwealth burials of the 1914-18 war here. There are also 41 of the 1939-45 war here, 3 being unidentified sailors of the Royal Navy and 2 being unidentified seamen of the Merchant Navy. There are 6 Foreign National burials including 1 unidentified Norwegian merchant seaman.
