  • Additional Info Son of Marie Victoire Higgins (nee Donnay), of 44, Rue de L'Amazone, Brussels, and the late John E. Higgins. Aged 16 when he left Brussels at the end of 1914. He passed the German lines and in 1915 volunteered in the British Army. Wounded four times and finally reported killed in the defence of Mount Kemmel.
