The following Headstones have been cleaned by persons unknown using either chemicals or pressure washing since my last visit in October 2024. HOPKINS D.R. THOMAS W. STARES G. DAY N. There was a local effort in Brompton on Swale in February 2025 to commemorate the explosion where these four men where killed, along with eight others. I believe the Headstones were cleaned with good intent but without any input from the CWGC on the correct cleaning methods.
