SYRETT W H ? CH - PORTLAND - Headstone previously reported as mobile but 24/10/2022 soil forced into gaps front and rear and tamped down on the surface. Slight movement again but repeat tamping around base to leave it firm again. Headstone remains [SOOP] but lean forward still just 1 degree. Minor chipping on [LHS and [RHS] edges, front and rear. Slight loss of definition of regiment name within the regimental badge. Inscription otherwise legible. Light clean to remove bird droppings (dark staining remains). Long grass immediately around headstone reduced in height with some weeding also done.
