16/1514 PRIVATE J. ROBERTS ROYAL WARWICKSHIRE REGIMENT Date Of Death: 4th April 1916 Age: 40 The headstone is clean legible & stable. One of a group with a tended garden at the front. Though because this sits under a tree, no plants thrive; also the grass, in this lawn grave struggles to compete against the tree foliage and the roots for water. There is nothing untoward with the grave. No action needed by CWGC.

S4/145268 SERJEANT F.ROGERS ARMY SERVICE CORPS Date Of Death: 3rd November 1916 Age: 38 A lawn grave with a border. Headstone is clean, legible and stable. No apparent signs of damage or wear and tear. The border is clean and tidy, with spring/summer perenniel plants growing. The lawn area is flat, with no signs of sinkage. There is nothing untoward to report about this grave. No action by CWGC required.

Headstone is clean and stable. **Though his service number is showing definite wear. Needing an engraver in situ in the near future? ** Apart from this, no sign of damage to the stone. Border surround is tidy, free of detritus with spring/summer perennials beginning to grow. The lawn grave is tidy, with no sign of sinkage. Service number to be re-etched in the near future?

8032 L.CPL P.H. SIEVERS ARMY CYCLIST CORPS Date Of Death: 11th July 1916. No Age stated. A lawn grave, part of a group of ~ 20, with a border. The headstone is clean, legible with no sign of damage. It is stable too. The grave is lawn (grass). It's flat with no signs of sinkage. The area of the grave is clean, free of detritus. Nothing untoward with this grave & headstone to report. No action by CWGC required.

View the logo & motto. The border is tidy, free of detritus with a campanula plant growing at the front of the headstone. The lawn grave is flat, with no signs of sinkage. Nothing untoward to report. No action by CWGC required,. * Headstone may need some re-etching, in situ, in the future.

6563S Bombardier P J Cheesley. Royal Field Artillery Date of Death: 23rd August 1916. Age: 23. The headstone is clean and in good condition. Legible, but a little worn. Previously I had contacted the Parish church authorities to be able to cut back an evergreen shrub, which was over hanging and partially obscuring the headstone. They gave me permission to cut the shrub back, which I duly did. Subsequently, the church have authorised others with power tools to further cut back the branches near the grave. Now a much more visible headstone and a lighter, tidier grave exists.
