Served with the Connaught Rangers from May, 1881, to January, 1886, and from March, 1886, to February, 1903. War services included the Bechuanaland Campaign, 1884, and South African War, in command of Kitchener's Horse, twice mentioned in Despatches. Retired 1903. Gazetted Major, Hampshire Regt., Dec., 1914.
