Thank you for coming to War Graves Week
We’d like to thank you all for taking part in another successful War Graves Week.
It was great to see so many of you attending our War Graves Week events throughout the UK, Europe and around the world.
As a global leader in commemoration, the work of the CWGC is an ongoing process. Even today, after more than 100 years, we continue to commemorate those who fell during the world wars, although we now work under very different circumstances.
The CWGC is committed to working in a sustainable manner, ensuring that we preserve our historic estate for generations to come. Having recently completed an incredible restoration project on the iconic Thiepval Memorial, we are continuing to work on a series of projects around the world, including the historic Menin Gate in Ieper.
Throughout War Graves Week, we’ve highlighted a little of the work our committed teams around the world carry out on a daily basis.
You can keep up to date with our work by signing up to our newsletter. We’ll keep you abreast of all of the CWGC’s work in the UK and around the world, with important updates on our projects, our day-to-day operations and future commemorations.
Don’t forget, you can continue to explore the work of the CWGC through our website, where we have a range of tools, blogs and updates that will help you learn more about our work and the Commonwealth war dead we commemorate.
Our cemeteries and memorials remain open throughout the year, allowing you to visit and explore.
We have recently partnered with Memory Anchor to introduce augmented reality tours of some of our sites, with more still to come – yet another fantastic way to learn more about those we commemorate!
And if you missed out on War Graves Week, don’t forget you can stay up-to-date with our other events, or book a guided tour of one of our sites, or a talk from one of our volunteers speakers on the links below.
