CWGC Talks and Tours

The CWGC’s Public Engagement Co-ordinators work with our volunteers and a network of volunteer speakers to offer a series of free talks and tours on a range of topics about the CWGC covering topics as diverse as our history to the horticulture of our sites.

The Speakers Programme

The Speakers Programme aims to connect with schools, colleges, universities as well as social and community groups to explaining our work and sharing the stories of the men and women that we commemorate. We offer a range of highly engaging and informative talks adapted for different audiences at a time and place to suit you.

There is a wealth of world war history across all four corners of the United Kingdom and you're never far from one of our sites. From large CWGC war cemeteries and memorials to single headstones in remote churchyards, our tours highlight the stories of the men and women we commemorate within them.

VOLUNTEER WITH US

From helping our Archives team maintain our war records to giving talks to schools and community groups, our volunteers help ensure that our history remains relevant to future generations. Our Eyes On, Hands On volunteer programme also provides important information helping us to direct our resources where they are needed most.
