Burial Service and Inauguration at Loos British Cemetery, France

11:00am (local time) - A burial service for an Unknown Soldier of The Black Watch (Royal Highlanders) and an Unknown Scottish Soldier with the inauguration of our new extension at Loos British Cemetery taking place during the service.

The burials will be conducted with full military honours, led by a military padre, with bearer parties from the Royal Regiment of Scotland.

The inauguration marks only the second time since the end of the Second World War that the Commonwealth War Graves Commission has opened such a significant commemorative burial site.

Entry to the service and inauguration is by ticket only issued via CWGC ballot. The ballot is now closed. The cemetery will be open to visitors after the ceremony.
