Burial service for Private Robert Kenneth Malcolm, 6858, 140th Field Ambulance, Royal Army Medical Corps

A burial service for Private Robert Kenneth Malcolm, 6858, 140th Field Ambulance, Royal Army Medical Corps will be held at 2.30pm (local time) on 10 May 2023 at CWGC’s Bedford House Cemetery, Belgium.

Private Malcolm died on 6 August 1917 while serving with the 140th Field Ambulance, Royal Army Medical Corps. He was previously commemorated on the CWGC Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.

Following the recovery of the soldier’s remains, the CWGC will mark his grave with a Commission headstone, bearing his name and a personal inscription chosen by family, and will care for it in perpetuity. The service has been organised by British Ministry of Defence’s Joint Casualty and Compassionate Centre and will be attended by his family, Defence Staff, Regimental representatives, CWGC staff and local dignitaries.
