Coningsby Cemetery - War Graves Week Tours

War Graves Week is an initiative aimed at encouraging people from the local community to come together and discover the World War heritage on their doorstep – learning about the stories of those commemorated by the CWGC and the skills, dedication and expertise of those CWGC staff and volunteers who work to keep their memory alive.

MEETING POINT: Main entrance to the cemetery on Dogdyke Road, Coningsby.

During the Second World War Coningsby was an RAF station and all but one of the war burials here are of those airmen. The graves are in a special plot in the northeastern corner and contain 2 First World War commemorations and 37 Second World War commemorations. Our guide will tell you the stories of some of these casualties.

Limited parking available onsite at the cemetery entrance, but there is parking nearby; no facilities or toilets; level ground in most places and mostly wheelchair accessible.

Please note: the cemetery is next to an active RAF airfield so there may be some aircraft noise.
