Pudsey Cemetery - War Graves Week Tours

Pudsey Cemetery

War Graves Week is an initiative aimed at encouraging people from the local community to come together and discover the World War heritage on their doorstep – learning about the stories of those commemorated by the CWGC and the skills, dedication and expertise of those CWGC staff and volunteers who work to keep their memory alive.

MEETING POINT by the Cemetery Lodge at the main gates on Cemetery Road.

During the tour you will learn about the history of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and about the heroic actions and self-sacrifice of some of our casualties buried in the cemetery.

There is parking available on main avenue. There are no facilities or toilets. The ground is level and this tour has wheelchair access.

Families and people of all ages welcome. This is a dog friendly event but please keep 4 legged friends on a lead.

Please come dressed for the weather and in a suitable walking shoe. Most of the tour is on pathways but may require you to walk on grass at times.

Please advise the guide at the start of the tour of any mobility restrictions.
