Rededication ceremony for Captain Cedric Hunton Daggett MC, Northumberland Fusiliers

A rededication ceremony for Captain Cedric Hunton Daggett MC, Northumberland Fusiliers, will be held at 2.15pm (local time) on 19 March 2024 at CWGC’s Rue-Petillon Military Cemetery, Fleurbaix, France.

Captain Daggett died on 11 February 1917 and was previously commemorated on the CWGC Ploegsteert Memorial in Belgium.

CWGC will mark his recently identified grave with a Commission headstone and will care for his final resting place in perpetuity.

The ceremony has been organised by the British Ministry of Defence’s Joint Casualty and Compassionate Centre and will be attended by Defence Staff, Regimental representatives, CWGC staff and local dignitaries.
