Rededication ceremony for Pte Peter Keill, 7th Battalion, Seaforth Highlanders

A rededication ceremony for Private Peter Keill, 285340, 7th Battalion, Seaforth Highlanders will be held at 2.30pm (local time) on 25 October 2023 at CWGC’s Dadizeele New British Cemetery, Belgium.

Private Keill died on 1 October 1918 and was previously commemorated on the CWGC Tyne Cot Memorial.

CWGC will mark his recently identified grave with a Commission headstone, bearing his name and a personal inscription chosen by his family. We will care for his final resting place in perpetuity.

The ceremony has been organised by the British Ministry of Defence’s Joint Casualty and Compassionate Centre and will be attended by Private Keill’s family, Defence Staff, Regimental representatives, CWGC staff and local dignitaries.
