Rededication Ceremony for Sergeant Arthur Melvin, 31st Bn. Canadian Infantry

A rededication ceremony for Sergeant Arthur Melvin, 31st Bn. Canadian Infantry will be held on Wednesday 30 October 2024 at 1.00pm (local time) at CWGC’s Bois-Carre British Cemetery, France. 

Sergeant Arthur Melvin died on 9 April 1917 and was previously commemorated on Vimy Memorial to the Missing. 

CWGC will mark his recently identified grave with a Commission headstone and will care for it in perpetuity.

The service has been organised the Canadian Armed Forces and will be attended by Canadian Defence staff, Regimental representatives, CWGC staff and local dignitaries.

Sergeant Arthur Melvin died on 9 April 1917 and was previously commemorated on Vimy Memorial to the MissingVimy Memorial.
