Rededication service for Corporal Gilbert Willcocks, T2/11639, Army Service Corps at CWGC Ypres Reservoir Cemetery, Belgium

A rededication service for Corporal Gilbert Willcocks, T2/11639, Army Service Corps will take place at 1.30pm (local time) on 19th October 2022 at CWGC Ypres Reservoir Cemetery, Belgium.

Corporal Willcocks died on 28 November 1918 whilst serving with the 2nd Company, 9th Division Train, Army Service Corps. He was previously commemorated on the CWGC Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.

CWGC has marked his recently identified grave with a Commission headstone, bearing his name and personal inscription chosen by his family, and will care for it in perpetuity. The service has been organised by the British Ministry of Defence’s Joint Casualty and Compassionate Centre and will be attended by Defence Staff, Regimental representatives, CWGC staff and local dignitaries. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
