Location information
The memorial situated in the Assam Rifles Depot in Happy Valley, some 13 kilometres from Shillong, a town in the Khasi and Jainta Hills, in the Surma Valley and Hill Districts Civil Division of Assam.
History information
The Memorial bears the names of 95 men of the Assam Rifles and the Assam Military Police, who died in three minor campaigns on the north-east frontier, and in Burma, during the First World War.
