Historical Note
At this location is a private memorial, erected in the early 1920s, which lists the names of 14 members of the Arab Rifles who are buried here. Neither the memorial nor the burials were recorded or adopted by the IWGC. Work is now underway to ensure these men are appropriately commemorated.
You can find more information about historical inequalities in commemoration in our Special Committee’s report.
