Location information
From Perth take the A90 towards Dundee. At roundabout at entrance to Dundee take the right hand exit, probably signed as Nine Wells Hospital and Airport. The road is Riverside Drive. After half a mile pass road to Nine Wells on left, continue for about another 1 mile to mini-roundabout, take first exit, cross bridge and go up the hill. At crossroads, go straight over into Glamis Road. After about half a mile you will find Balgay Cemetery on the right hand side of the road.
Visiting information
Please note paths and steps on the hill in the older section of the cemetery can be very slippery in wet or icy conditions.
History information
The cemetery contains service plots of both wars. Most of the 1914-1918 burials are in a war plot in Section B, which also contains a Cross of Sacrifice and a Screen Wall memorial, which lists those whose graves are not marked by headstones. Most of the 1939-1945 war burials are Sections I and M.
There are now nearly 150, 1914-1918 and nearly 130, 1939-1945 War casualties commemorated in this site. The Commission also maintains 2 non-war graves on behalf of the Ministry of Defence and 1 French, 1 Dutch and 11 Polish war graves in this site.
