Location information

Varberg is on the south-west coast of Sweden. The New Cemetery lies at the junction of two main roads north of the town. Follow the road named Vastkustvagen to the roundabout and then turn right into Gadestrosvag. The cemetery is on this corner.

History information

Although Sweden retained her neutrality throughout the Second World War, a number of Commonwealth servicemen are buried there, most of them airmen who failed to return from bombing raids over Germany or German occupied territories. Varberg Church New Cemetery contains the graves of four Commonwealth airmen of the Second World War.
