Location information

Darjeeling is a hill station in West Bengal where at one time there was a sanatorium for British troops. It is in a tea growing district about 704 kilometres by rail from Calcutta. The cemetery is situated on a hillside on the Darjeeling-Lebong road, and commands good views of the twin peaks of Kanchenjunga. It is steeply terraced and is more than 150 years old.
