Location information
Bailleul Communal Cemetery is located between Kortrijk (20 Km) and Tournai (11 Km). From Tournai the N50 leads for 3 km to the left hand turning onto rue de Templeuve (towards Ramegnies Chin). 8 km along this road lies the village of Bailleul. The cemetery is located on a small lane leading from the church and market square. The graves are located in the south-east corner of the cemetery.

History information
The British Expeditionary Force was involved in the later stages of the defence of Belgium following the German invasion in May 1940, and suffered many casualties in covering the withdrawal to Dunkirk.
Bailleul Communal Cemetery contains three Commonwealth burials of the Second World War.
