Location information

Samsø is an island lying between Jutland and Zealand, to the north of the island of Fyn. There are two ferry routes to Samsø: about 1½ hours by road or rail from Copenhagen the ferry from Kalundborg sails to Ballen harbour on Samsø. From Jutland, another ferry sails from Hou to Sælvig harbour. The village of Tranebjerg is situated in the centre of the island. The churchyard is in the centre of the village.

History information

Tranebjerg Churchyard contains the graves of nine Commonwealth airmen and one Norwegian airman.
