Location information

Ardres is a small town and commune on the Calais-St Omer Road, 17 kilometres south-east of Calais. The Communal Cemetery is on the south-eastern side of the town.

History information

There are now over 10, 1939-45 war casualties commemorated in this site. Of these, a small number are unidentified and 6 whose graves could not be precisely located, are commemorated by special memorials inscribed "Buried near this spot".
