Location information
Leuchars Cemetery lies to the north of the village of Leuchars, close to the main road to Dundee. From the Dundee direction take the A919 and turn right just before the start of the village, following signs to the cemetery and the golf course. The cemetery and golf course are on the other side of the railway line which is crossed by a narrow bridge. The cemetery is at the end of the road, with parking available adjacent to the golf course.
History information
The cemetery contains two groups of war graves. One, the smaller, is near the cemetery entrance, and the main group is in the south-eastern part of the burial ground. In addition to the graves in these groups there are a few war graves in other parts of the cemetery.
A Cross of Sacrifice stands in the main service plot.
There are now a small number of 1914-1918 and nearly 60, 1939-1945 War casualties commemorated in this site.
