Avord is a village and commune 12 miles (20 kilometres) south-east of Bourges, and 5 miles (8 kilometres) south-west of Baugy. The village is situated on the road from Bourges to Nerondes. The cemetery lies on the north-eastern side of the village off the road to Baugy.
