Etreux is a village and commune in the Department of the Aisne, 32 kilometres north-north-east of St Quentin and 20 kilometres west of La Capelle. The Communal Cemetery is 2 kilometres north of the village.
History information
On the 27th August, 1914, Etreux was the scene of the Rearguard Affair of Etreux, in which the 2nd Royal Munster Fusiliers were overwhelmed, after a long resistance, by nine German battalions.
