History information

In addition to the 12 Royal Air Force graves recorded in this register the churchyard contains the grave of an airman belonging to the Polish Air Force. There is also a memorial to a soldier buried in a closed churchyard on a War Office battle training ground, where military restrictions made maintenance difficult. The memorial, which is in the form of a headstone, names the original burial place and bears the quotation "Their glory shall not be blotted out."
