Location information

Smilde is a village about 16 kilometres south-west of Assen on the main Assen-Meppel road. Hoogersmilde, another village in the same commune, is 2.5 kilometres south-south-west of Smilde. The cemetery is on the northern outskirts of Smilde, 180 metres west of the main road to Assen. The war graves are in the south-western part.
