Location information

This cemetery is a Maori family burial ground on the northern edge of Lake Rotoiti. Travelling south on SH 33 from Te Puke, take the Maniatutu Road turnoff just south of Tokerau. About 1.5 kilometres from the turnoff on the right hand side of the road is a farm gate marking an unsealed vehicle track down to the lake. About 700 metres down this track, take the left hand fork to the cemetery. (The right hand fork leads down to a private property by the lake).
